July 12th, 2023: Local farmers and collaborators joined forces to create Kenosha’s first producer-led watershed protection collaborative. Together, they are working to offer new opportunities for Kenosha County farmers through regenerative methods that improve profitability while purifying freshwater resources and protecting ecosystems.
July 16th, 2023: A man who left a brokerage career in Chicago is now leading the charge in Kenosha County to encourage farmers to adopt more environmentally-friendly ways of operating. Paul Maggio is the president of a new “Kenosha County Regenerative Producers Group” made up of area farmers who’ve come together to learn about regenerative farming, and spread the word to other farmers.
July 13th, 2023: Hear from Starry Nights farm owner Paul Maggio and rotational grazing subject matter expert, Kirsten Jurcek from Glacierland RC&D to learn more about the Producers Group and how they are hoping to improve local water quality through regenerative methods.
